AT&T Phone Services
AT&T Digital Phone Service
AT&T Phone (formerly U-verse Voice) is the latest of what a phone
service can bring into one's house today.
AT&T Phone includes a load of advanced calling features like Busy Call Forwarding, Call
Forwarding, Call History, Call Screening, Call Transfer, Caller ID Blocking, Click to Call,
Directory Assistance Blocking, Do Not Disturb, International Call Blocking, Locate Me, No
Answer Call Forwarding, and Safe Call Forwarding.
Furthermore, customers subscribing to both AT&T U-verse TV and Phone are provided an
added feature, Call History and Click to Call, which displays missed and answered calls on
your TV screen and with a click of your remote returns a call. In addition to the TV option,
there is a convenient, web-based call management which lets you easily control your calling
features and account online. Finally, AT&T U-verse Messaging lets you even
combine your Wireless from AT&T voice mail into your AT&T Phone voice mail. Now you
have just one place to check all your messages from home, remotely, or even from your
personal computer.
AT&T Internet
AT&T VoIP requires a high speed Internet service - as dialup is not fast
enough to move the bits of data required. If you do not have this, we suggest starting
service with a Internet service provider - preferably AT&T Internet
(formerly AT&T U-verse Internet) to ensure you have a large enough channel to make VoIP
work efficiently, and that you enjoy one convenient bill when combined with AT&T U-verse
TV and AT&T Internet service.

Requirements for AT&T Phone Service
A high speed Internet connection is required for digital AT&T Phone service. Such
Internet connection can be acquired through AT&T
Internet. A computer, adapter, or specialized phone is also required for Internet
phone service from AT&T. Some VoIP services only work over your computer or by using a
special VoIP phone, while other services allow you to use a traditional phone connected to a
VoIP adapter.
When you purchase AT&T phone service, you will get the highest quality phone service
available at an affordable price. Experience remarkable voice quality and powerful features
that are only available through AT&T phone services.
What is VoIP?
VoIP (Voice over Internet Protocol) converts your voice into a digital signal that travels over the Internet. If you are calling a regular phone number, the signal is converted to a regular telephone signal before it reaches the destination. VoIP allows you to make a call directly from a computer, a special VoIP phone, or a traditional phone connected to a special adapter. Special VoIP phones plug directly into your Internet connection and operate much like a traditional telephone. If you use a telephone with a VoIP adapter, you will be able to dial just as you always have and still receive a dial tone
